This is the easiest way to prepare the most comforting meal of all time.

  • 1 1/2 lb. Breasts of boneless, skinless chicken
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 carrots, peeled then sliced into coins
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 4 tsp. 4 tsp.
  • 4 tsp. 4 tsp.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 10 c. low-sodium chicken broth
  • 8 oz. 8 oz.
  • Combine chicken, celery and carrots in a slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper. Add broth.
  • Cook on low for 6–8 hours. Take the chicken out of the slow cooker and mash it with two forks. You can discard bay leaf and herbs. Add egg noodles to the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low heat, covered, for 20–30 minutes or until al dente
